The V - E - T
The fact is, I haven't had to go to the vet since I had the "teeth cleaning" back in December 2005. Mommy knew that I would deal with the visit to the vet better if we didn't have to return to the site of my near death. This time I went to a kitty vet, the Paddington Cat Hospital. There were lots of other kitties there but I wasn't in the mood to make friends. I just wanted the whole thing to be over.
The reason I had to go for a check-up is because I have had a coughing/reflux issue. It turns out that I may have an irritated digestive tract. I have to starve until tomorrow morning and then I get to start eating a new kind of food that is specially formulated for kitties with sensitive intestinal tracts. I am not enjoying Operation Starve Bella. I can't wait to try my new food.
While the whole vet visit wasn't that bad, I still don't want to go again for another year, at least. I mean, it is really hard to hear about how fat I am. Yes, I have high self-esteem but NO, I don't like to hear that I am a 7 out of 9 on the fat scale. Thank goodness Mommy and JerJer were there. When I felt scared or embarrassed, I hid my face in between Mommy's arm and her body. And JerJer was there as my body guard. He was always right there keeping an eye on me.
I am sooooo hungry. I think that I will go remind Mommy and JerJer again. One of them is bound to break and feed me soon.
