In Memory of Stanley Quiqueg Serros

Stanley was Aunt Stephanie's chihuahua. He lived in Redlands with Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ed. At first he didn't like me because I was allowed to go into parts of the house that he wasn't allowed to go into and also because I was younger and prettier and way more fun. I got the attention that he wanted. (Above left is a picture of Stanley, Aunt Stephanie and me.)

But then, after a few years, we became friends. He helped me become better at going for walks. It was fun to follow Stanley on our walks. When we were all at the beach house, I would walk with Stanley, Grandma and Mommy up to 7-11. We also walked in the 4th of July parade together a couple of years in a row. When I stayed with Grandma and Grandpa in Redlands, Stanley and I would take naps in the upstairs room together.

On our car rides to La Jolla, Stanley never let me sit on Grandma's lap. He would shake uncontrollably if I tried to sit there. There were plenty of other comfortable places to sit so I just let him sit with Grandma.

I am not allowed outside at the beach house without supervision. Stanley and I are similar in that we don't like when things are not right. Stanley knew that I wasn't supposed to go outside and he would let everyone know if I did go outside. He was very protective of me. I liked him. He was a cool guy.

Farewell Stanley, may you forever live in our memories.
