What's this poop?

What is this poop? First Mommy goes away without taking me with her, and now JerJer is going away without me as well!
It's a good thing I invited Aunt Bronwen over to play for the next month or so, otherwise I might have had to learn how to change my own litter or go potty in the toilet or something.
I hope Aunt Bronwen understands our house rules, namely:
  • Bella is allowed outside whenever she wants
  • Bella doesn't have to take baths unless she feels like it and it is a really, really warm day (none of these silly winter baths!)
  • My feet are so totally the cutest feet ever
  • Bella's food bowl should always be full, and constantly topped up with freshies. I don't know who eats the food at the bottom of the bowl, but it certainly isn't going to be me!
  • Everyone should warm their hands before they try to pat me. I love being patted on the head, but only by warm hands!
  • Boxes are heaps of fun, we should have more of them. Blankets are pretty cool as well.
  • Bella needs about 23 hours of nap time a day
  • Bella needs at least 6 hours of patting time each day
  • House is on Wednesday nights at 8:30 on channel 10

I think that's about all of the rules. If I've forgotten any I'll let Aunt Bronwen know soon enough.

ACTUAL RULES SENT TO AUNT BRONWEN!

Hello! Thanks again for Bella-sitting.

RULES:

- no going outside without supervision.

- no going outside without being hooked up to her leash.

- any behaviour that you don't like just say NO very firmly and she will
understand.

LIKES:

- having her mousy-poos thrown. She will bring it back if the
situation is calm and comfortable to her. She likes it when you first
count out loud - one, two, three - and then toss the mousy-poo.

- playing with two mousy-poo tails on a string that is attached to a
stick. It takes a while for her to train people how she likes it but
keep trying.

- snuggling under a blanket with someone on the couch. She is fussy
about where she wants to sit. She likes for people to lift the blanket
for her. You will need to lift it high enough for her to be able to
see a spot around your legs where she will fit.

- being pet.

- sitting outside. If you have time on the weekends to sit outside
with her for 20 - 30 min. she will be very happy.

- positive affirmations. Just remember to tell her that she is a good
girl when uses her scratching post or anything else that isn't bad.

- sitting on top of the computer or TV.

DISLIKES:

- Deb

- being cold

- a dirty potty (Sorry but she dumps A LOT!) If it smells like amonia
that means the pee has been collecting for too long and the whole
potty needs to be dumped. It is best to try to get some of the pee out
each day. Sometime it clumps nicely.

- old food - she will ask for fresh food. It is fine to refill the
food bowl as many times as she asks though it is not necessary if she
already has food in her bowl.

- moldy water. Every few days the water needs to be completely poured
out and refilled instead of just topped up.

BEHAVIOUR:

- Bella will sing and sing and sing. She loves it when you sing with her.

- Sprinting! Sometimes she just goes crazy and sprints around! Just
tell her that she is doing a good job running.

- Neediness - She is almost always quite needy but if you are gone an
extra long day or are away overnight she will demand extra love.

Extra notes:
She will get rather dirty over the weeks you are staying with
her. She won't mind being dirty but if you do mind then feel free to
give her a bath. She uses dish soap and several inches of warm water
in the bath tub. Use any wash cloth. She will fuss about it at first
but she is a good bather. Make sure to get off all of the soap. Please
don't feel that you need to give her a bath. She will be fine without
one.
Her nails will get long and sharp. I cut them before I left but
they grow fast. I hope that she doesn't accidentally hurt you when
they get long.

Thank you again.

We will keep in touch. I hope all is well. Hi to the EDS crew.

Love,

Maya
